Four hundred years of the empire, especially Fatih Sultan Mehmet, until Sultan Abdülmecid; Topkapı Palace, which is the center of education, administration and art, has managed to maintain its importance since the day it was built.Topkapi Palace, which was started to be used as a museum on April 3, 1924 after the proclamation of the Republic, is the first museum of the Republic and has an area of 400,000 square meters. Topkapi Palace, which has collections, architectural structures and approximately 300,000 archive documents, is one of the largest palace museums in the world. The Palace, which has many different works under its roof, is flooded by both local and foreign visitors every year.

After completing our Topkapi Palace visit, we start our visit to Little Hagia Sophia Mosque.

The Little Hagia Sophia mosque formerly the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus is a former Greek Orthodox church dedicated to Saints Sergius and Bacchus in Constantinople built between 532 and 536, and converted into a mosque during the Ottoman Empire. This Byzantine building with a central dome plan was erected in the sixth century by Justinian; Despite its Turkish name, it likely was not a model for Hagia Sophia with which its construction was contemporary, but it is nonetheless one of the most important early Byzantine buildings in Istanbul. It was recognized at the time by Procopius as an adornment to the entire city, and a modern historian of the East Roman Empire has written that the church "by the originality of its architecture and the sumptuousness of its carved decoration, ranks in Constantinople second only to St Sophia itself".
